We are so lucky that some of Westchester's most amazing restaurants have curated events especially for Westchester Foodies! If you missed some... more are coming!
This fall was off to an amazing start with three tasty events. Two pre-paid and one free.
The events that we co-curate with restaurants are unique. Their main purpose is to give foodies the ability to enjoy a restaurant's most-craved dishes while also giving us the opportunity to connect in real life.
We are grateful to all of the chefs and owners who have welcomed us into their spaces for intimate and delicious good times.

PICCOLA TRATTORIA - Dobbs Ferry
On October 8th, Chef Sergio Pennacchio has been delighting diners in Dobbs Ferry and beyond since 1996. The restaurant closed for two years in 2021 and relocated in 2023 to a larger space up the street, and his regulars were practically camped out in anticipation. Chef Sergio even won Best New Italian Restaurant after the comeback! Now the space is not-so-piccola, and the house is full nearly every night. On October 8th, he wowed a restaurant full of foodies with some spectacular dishes. There was applause. Stay tuned for Piccola Market that is set to open any day now!
MUMBAI KATTA - Port Chester
A common ingredient in our events is a chef/owner that is not only talented but also warm and accessible. Mumbai Katta has been open for a little over one year and already feels like an institution. Chef/owner Anita Tibile-Gawde makes all feel welcome, and she sources her ingredients as well as curates her menu as if she was cooking for her family. For the Westchester Foodies menu tasting event on September 30th, she and her chefs prepared 25 delectable dishes! It was a completely packed house of overjoyed foodies. (She is thinking about hosting us again in December.)
THE SONESTA HOTEL, RESTAURANT AND BAR - White Plains
One of the members of Westchester Foodies works for the Sonesta Hotel and had mentioned that they would be interested in hosting an event for us at their newly remodeled bar and restaurant. The entire hotel has been redone, but the event was not a sleepover… this time! Of course I visited the hotel first and met with their management team. It was a delicious meeting. The lobby, bar and restaurant are simply stunning. On September 10th, they hosted a free event for us that included a generous sampling of their yummiest dishes. We tried everything from fresh fish and chicken wings to tacos and charcuterie, plus incredible cocktails at a discounted price. The reservations for this event closed out in less than two days. Needless to say, it was amazing. I don’t know that there is another hotel/bar/restaurant in Westchester with such a world-class feel. Located next to The Westchester and a few highways, it is the perfect place to stay while exploring the Hudson Valley and also to house your wedding guests. I hear that they are booked way ahead for weddings year-round. It is also the perfect place to gather with a few friends on a weeknight to catch up over yummy bites and drinks with all of the city feels, but without having to leave Westchester.

The Meadows Social Kitchen and Bar - at Harrison Meadows Country Club in Harrison - November 12th at 6pm - The food portion will be free and the drinks will be deeply discounted. This hidden gem with stunning views is under new management and also has a new chef with an incredible NYC resume.
Saint George Bistro - Hastings-On-Hudson - November 16th - 1pm - Sunday Brunch! ... and it will be an amazing value.
