BUT WHAT CAN I WIN BOB?

Chinoiserie: A fantasy garden dinner for six at the breathtaking home of Mark Kramer of Susan Lawrence Gourmet Foods. Mark is number one in the member donations section because he is "Mark" first and owner of Susan Lawrence, second. He generous, big-hearted, and deeply beloved by this community. This marks the second celebration for six that he’s graciously offered. The last, a stunning garden party, helped raise over $11,000 in just five days to support restaurants devastated by Hurricane Ida. For some, that $1,000 meant the difference between staying open or closing their doors. For others, it was a powerful reminder that their community was there.

Please visit Mark's beautiful post to learn more about this incredible offering. But don't forget to come back and keep scrolling!

Along with the pan, you get me- (and Lulu, my trusty sous chef) for a cooking lesson in my semi-state of the art kitchen/mad scientist’s laboratory. The lesson will be partly devoted to the use, care, and feeding of your new cookware, and the rest will be decided by the winning ticket holders’ interests. Please visit Zac's post to read more.

Piccola Trattoria(Owner/Chef Sergio Pennacchio.) TWO $100 gift cards. I'll never forget the first time that I (Claudia) felt special at Piccola Trattoria. Chef Sergio came out to the table and said hello and asked how dinner was going. This was at their original location when Piccola was truly piccola. And then I noticed that he visited every. single. table. The thing is that once you go to Piccola, there is no way you aren't becoming a regular. The restaurant has relocated to a larger space that still feels intimate and Chef Sergio still comes out to say hello to regulars and newbies alike. They have also won many accolades upon their return from their hiatus and don't get me started on the crew... Gustavo, Peter, another Gustavo... as well as his amazing kitchen staff. Oh and the food. We had thought of having Piccola offer up a "Claudia's Favorite's dinner, which would have included the carciofi, the insalata fresca, the occasional creamy polenta special, the canneloni and lastly... the best steak that I have had in a restaurant. BUT there are so many great dishes at Piccola, plus specials that are actually special, that want you to do Piccola your way! (Bias was very much a part of this write-up.) - Dobb's Ferry

"The restaurant operates its own five-acre terraced farm, supplying much of the produce used in its dishes. They have a second location on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains where the staff is as comforting as the food. Doesn't everyone agree that they need a presence at Grand Central? - Mamaroneck, White Plains

Restaurant Odo - $150 - Located  in Tuckahoe, Restaurant Odo is is like no Italian restaurant in Westchester. Headed up by chef Nickolas Odoardi, the cuisine hails from the Abruzzo region of Italy and energy is vibrant and maybe a little sexy. When you dine at Odo, you will be forever burdened with cravings for their Speducc... little gorgeous spears of lamb presented in a mini terracotta urn and their Scarpetta... a silky and gently herby beurre blanc served up in a pretty pan surrounded by crusty bread that serves as a sponge to wipe out every last drop. Oof. - Tuckahoe

Goosefeather - $200 - This remarkable restaurant, often referred to as "Goosefeathers!" in Westchester Foodies is probably the most recommended special occasion restaurant in our little group of 23k people. We are very happy that Chef Dale Talde chose the historic King Mansion located on the Tarrytown House Estate to land this beautiful restaurant. Dining at Goosefeather, indoors or out is a treat for all senses. His dishes strike a perfect balance between the unexpected and the familiar, leaving such a lasting impression that you’ll find yourself dreaming up excuses to return. Many are not aware that you can stay in the gorgeously-appointed rooms just up the stairs at Goosefeather. Many rooms feature private decks, with several offering unobstructed views of the Hudson River. And if those rooms are booked, the rest of the Tarrytown House Estate Hotel is located just down the stairway from the restaurant. Staycation anyone? - Tarrytown

His tasting menus, that pair the best wild seafood with seasonal and local farm produce, aren’t just legendary—they’re a bucket-list experience for serious food lovers. A single course or part of a dish can sometimes take weeks to develop and his mind never stops churning out ideas for future dishes. Chef Elmer's dishes are also individual works of art. Each bite a symphony of flavors and textures. Every week, he visits the fish market and buys only the freshest fish and tries as much as possible to source locally. When you enjoy the tasting menu at Brothers, it comes with a personal explanation of each course. Chef Elmer is passionate and deeply knowledgable about wine and is just as thoughtful about the pairings as he is the food. Alongside the main restaurant, Chef Elmer runs a laid-back spot where the standout is, by many accounts, fish and chips that rival the best you’ll find in England. The newest member of the Brothers Fish & Chips family is a sleek food truck, bringing Chef Elmer’s culinary talents to the streets and making his creations more accessible than ever. -Ossining

This is one of her favorite restaurants and if you win this and are extra lucky, you may just get to meet Andrea! Aurora in Rye is a warm and elegant Italian restaurant offering Tuscan-inspired cuisine with a modern touch. Known for its house-made pastas, brick oven pizzas, and refined entrees, it’s a favorite for both casual dinners and special occasions. Located on Purchase Street, Aurora also features a great wine list and outdoor seating in warmer months. - Rye

Wolf & Warrior Brewing - 2 $50 gift cards - Owner, Michael Chiltern, began brewing for fun in Brooklyn in 2012. He continued pursuing his passion after moving to Westchester and even grew hops in his back yard. When his micro brews began winning awards an acclaim, he realized that this is what he was meant to do. He opened up Wolf & Warrior Brewing company in beautiful downtown White Plains in 2019, just before a global pandemic. Today, Wolf & Warrior doesn't just brew great beer, but Michael is obsessive about their food menu as well. It took him months to develop his riff on a perfect cubano and his smash burger, the Juicy Lucy. Wolf & Warrior is big, yet cozy. It is the perfect spot to host a gathering and the vibes in the beer garden during warm months pair perfectly with their wings and a cold glass of their signature Patagonia, a refreshing golden ale. If it is bingo or trivia you seek, you may find each weekly, respectively on Wednesday and Thursday nights. - White Plains

TVB by Pax Romana - $150 - Owned by Paul Russo and Alfredo Runco, "Pax” was one of my first restaurant crushes in Westchester. Not only is the food always spectacularly yummy…,it is also comforting and ingredient-focused… but Paul and Alfredo’s energy is the secret sauce that hooks you. The vibes are young, fresh and a little sexy, yet comforting. On a recent visit, I was saying to Paul how I really admired restaurant owners who managed to keep most or all of their employees throughout a pandemic and through difficult economic times. Paul was emphatic about putting his team above everything else, including customers, although I can tell you that as a customer, I’ve always felt very special. I was super excited to discover that they had re-launched their amazing #pasta classes, and that they are once again headed up by @chefcristianny - who is so much fun and very talented. You’ll get way more than you paid for these classes. Cheers to you Paul and Alfredo! 🥂😘 - White Plains

Previously owned by Erika and Richard Cozza (R.I.P. Richard, your smile will brighten our thoughts forever.) Erika and Richard were the first in the area to begin hosting pop-ups for local makers. Many cottage food businesses like Mad Donuts and Blissful Table, got their start at this neighborhood olive oil and coffee shop. They were always among the first to support our fundraising efforts. Now, that spirit of generosity lives on through Dawn Perruchio Galleti—a new member of our community who is proudly continuing their legacy of giving.
